God is Full of Grace

Meditate.

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 1:5-8 (Underlined for emphasis.)

All of God’s qualities seem to be intertwined. Not one of them stands all alone. Grace is associated with kindness…along with all wisdom and understanding. Love abounds throughout all of Gods actions as does His mercy. He is holy, just, righteous, fair, good, omnipresent, omnipotent, and all powerful. The list goes on. His glorious grace certainly has been poured out on us who belong to Jesus. We who believe in Jesus as the Son of God and our Savior are blessed to have the understanding that comes through God’s grace and mercy. Grace is commonly defined as “unmerited favor.” We don’t deserve it…but He extends that grace to us anyway…because He loves us so much. He loves us so much that He has adopted us into His family.

For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God's promise to Abraham belongs to you. Galatians 3:26-29

I feel so priveledged to be adopted into God’s family. Who am I to belong to the family of God? Yet, He is gracious and doesn’t want anyone to perish.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.      1 Peter 4:7

Grace. Our God is wonderfully kind, merciful, wise, understanding and above all, loving. Not that we deserve any of those qualities, but that is what God’s grace is all about. Unmerited favor.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16

Grace. What more could anyone want? Do you see the hand of God’s grace in your life? Paul wrote about the Israelites in his time in a letter to the church at Rome. God’s grace is free to all…Jew and Gentile. Here he explains also that God’s grace is a gift, not something we earn by good works. Today is the same as it was in Paul time.

It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel have remained faithful because of God's grace—his undeserved kindness in choosing them. And since it is through God's kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God's grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved. So this is the situation: Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have—the ones God has chosen—but the hearts of the rest were hardened. Romans 11:5-7

I hope that your heart has not been hardened. God is with you…as He is with me. He has promised over and over to never leave us or forsake us…so you know He is with you no matter what. COVID. Stress. Financial difficulties. Cancer. Broken relationships.

Do you need to mend your relationship with the Lord? Start now if that is necessary. Your personal conviction is the key. God’s grace is your answer. He has unlimited grace and mercy.

Prayer ~ Dear God, please continue to shower me, my family, friends and neighbors with Your grace. We don’t deserve it…but we love You and graciously Thank You for Your favor and love in our lives.

Verses of Salvation ~ For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." Acts 4:11-12
