God Almighty

This is a perfect day to Meditate on who God is and your relationship with Him.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end," says the Lord God. "I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One." Revelation 1:8

God declares Himself to be the Almighty One in this scripture from Revelation and as El-Shaddai— God Almighty to Abraham and to Moses.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am El-Shaddai—God Almighty. Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life." Genesis 17:1

And God said to Moses, "I am Yahweh—'the LORD.' I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai—'God Almighty'—but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them.

Exodus 6:2-3

He is God Almighty—all powerful, loving, and comforting. Angels in Heaven also declare that He is the Almighty One.

Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come." Revelation 4:8

Do you declare that God is the Almighty One…the Alpha and the Omega? What difference will this make in your relationship with the Lord? Do you feel in the least intimidated by talking to…praying to the Almighty God—our eternal God? Do you think you could worship Him in Heaven just as the angels do? Are you living in the shelter of the Most High and finding rest in His shadow?

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. Psalm 91:1-2

He is my God…and I trust Him.

Prayer ~ I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people. Psalm 52:9

Verse of Salvation ~ As Jacob blessed his sons, he said...I trust in you for salvation, O LORD! Genesis 49:18

Bible Trivia ~ Last week’s question: What animals represent Jesus?

Answer: The LAMB of God and the LION of Judah.

As Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declared, "Look! There is the Lamb of God!" John 1:36

But one of the twenty-four elders said to me (John), "Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David's throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals." Revelation 5:5

This week’s Bible Trivia question:
Whom did Jesus send fishing in order to get money for taxes?
