It is Impossible to Please God Without Faith

Meditate.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6

This verse is worth committing to memory. Without faith it is impossible to please God! He does exist! He rewards those who look for Him—searches for Him in His word—the Bible. Rewards come after seeking Him…not because of good deeds that someone does. Rewards? Peace in your heart. Joy in your life…love and other blessings. Rewards could be answers to prayers and positive outcomes to events or circumstances in one’s life. A couple of other verses that concern “rewards” that are easily noted in scripture are:

- Wise words bring many benefits, and hard work brings rewards. Proverbs 12:14

- But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve." Jeremiah 17:10

Do you get rewarded according to your deeds, your actions? That is what the Lord had the prophet Jeremiah write that will happen to all people—not just believers. Do these verses motivate you to seek God and to serve Him with actions and hard work reflecting the skills and abilities that He has given you?

In the 224 verses that mention faith scripture, we are told about the importance of faith. To begin with…

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1

We cannot see God—but we can trust Him that He is real. He does exist. He is the very essence of love. He is love. These verses below were written by the disciple or apostle John who actually saw Jesus—and walked and talked with Him. We don’t have that advantage—but we can have faith and trust that Jesus and God the Father, as well as the Holy Spirit…are very much real and alive today. As spiritual beings, we cannot see them, but we can believe and trust in them just the same.

The Holy Spirit is given to us.
Trust God with your life...and your love.
Have faith. Believe.
And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 1 John 4:13-17

Live like Jesus, faithfully. Then you will be rewarded as you sincerely seek Him because it is impossible to please God without faith.

Prayer ~ Dear God, nothing is impossible with You, but I do believe that it is impossible to please You without faith. I have faith that You are real—that Your Son, Jesus Christ…my Lord and Savior…is real and that the Holy Spirit is real. I praise You all—for it is from You that all blessings flow.

Verses of Salvation ~ (This is what salvation is….) God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love--not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:9-10

Memory Verse of the Week: And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Repeat this verse over and over to yourself daily or write it out several times. You can memorize it! Consider what it means to you?
