Does God’s Word Give You Light?

Meditate. Meditate on God's word throughout your day...along the path on which He guides you.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 KJV

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105 NLT

No matter what the translation…God’s word provides insight—light—and direction in my life. It’s a dark world out there…but God is light—to everyone, even  those who are old or young. Jesus is the light of the world and as His light shines, the darkness recedes. Let His light shine in and through you.

God’s words, His command, His direction gives me…and anyone who choses to seek Him in His word…guidance. It sets my feet in the right way—His way. And we all know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, as well as the light of the world.

Jesus told him (Thomas), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." John 8:12

Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before. Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining. 1 John 2:7-8

Does God’s word give light and direction to your life?

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus—You are the light of the world. Light my life with inspiration, understanding, and insight into God’s will for my life.

Prayers for Kathy K. as she has surgery on her broken wrist. May God light her path...and give her quick healing.
