Don’t Forget Your Creator

Meditate.

Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, "Life is not pleasant anymore." Ecclesiastes 12:1

How’s life? Are you in your youth…or do you feel like you are growing old? Hopefully, you aren’t saying, "Life is not pleasant anymore."  I’ve visited some nursing homes in the last twenty years—mostly to see my husband’s elderly aunts—and some of them are very sad places. People sitting in their wheelchairs in the hallways just waiting…waiting for someone to come visit them. And sadly…no one comes. For them…"Life is not pleasant anymore."  The odor of such homes is occasionally overpowering—the smell of death. Do those sweet old ladies and gentlemen know the Lord? We can only hope that they do…or did.

Morning Glory.
Blooming in Jerusalem.
Will we see fresh flowers to bring God glory...
in the New City of Jerusalem?

Do not forget your creator!

The important part of life is choosing to know the Lord—for it is pleasant for all who chose that. We each have a choice. It is a choice for the young and the old alike. We are not promised a pleasant life when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior—but we are promised a life with Jesus forever that will eventually be pleasant in a wonderful place…a new holy city of Jerusalem. In the meantime, endure and encourage others. Those who don’t accept Christ will face doom, especially if one waits until after Christ’s church is raptured. Later, there will still be a chance to accept Jesus as Messiah—but there will be the chance of martyrdom…of being beheaded. I choose to choose Jesus as Messiah, now. I’ll keep my head. I won’t forget my creator. He is Jesus. King of kings. Lord of lords.

Prayer ~ Thank You, Jesus, for being my Messiah—my Savior, my Lord, my Creator—the King of kings and Lord of lords. Come quickly, Jesus.

Verse of Salvation ~ You, O God, are my king from ages past, bringing salvation to the earth. Psalm 74:12
