Have You Become a New Person?

Start with Prayer ~ Glory be to You, Jesus, for You shed Your blood…You gave Your life. For what? For me? …for the love of the whole world as declared by Your Father. Our Father…loved so much!

New life is depicted by a butterfly.
A change...a metamorphosis.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Meditate on life.

New person—new spiritually. As we belong to Christ…and He belongs to us we develop a relationship with Him—and He renews our mind…and we become a new person. I remember the first time I went to visit my sister after I accepted Christ, she asked me what had changed in my life…I seemed different to her. I’d recently had my hair restyled—but she said that wasn’t it. Well…I did accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. That’s it! She also had accepted Christ as her Savior…and it was the Holy Spirit in her recognizing the Holy Spirit in me that clued us into spiritual changes in our lives. Life is all about Jesus—and He gives us new life. He changes people’s heart. I was a sharp-tongued young woman with a critical heart—but He changed me to be kinder, and ultimately wiser, young lady. Actually, the wisdom part has taken a long time…and is still changing me.

"When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life." Titus 3:4-7

It was a new me. I had grown up hearing about Jesus—but not really knowing Him. Then I came to really know, understand, and accept Jesus as my own personal Savior. That changed me. Renewed my mind.

But that isn't what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God--truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:20-24

Anyone can become a new person with Christ as their Savior…He give anyone who ask a new life.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

Have you become a new person?

Verse of Salvation ~ For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:11-12

Memory Verse of the Week ~ This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
