The Shepard’s Psalm

Memory Scripture of the Week – Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6

The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.

Sheep in Israel. Where is my Shepherd?
He has taken care of me.
I have all that I need because God provides. I trust Him to give me what I need…and I have more than enough…enough to share with others.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33
Shepherds take care of their sheep. He not only keeps them safe, but makes sure that they have food, water and a cozy place to sleep. He rescues the missing one—caring it home over his shoulders—and celebrating with his friends and neighbors (Luke 15:4-6).  The Lord is my shepherd.  He seriously does provide all that I need.

Prayer ~ Lord, Thank You for all that You provide—I’m overwhelmed by Your generosity. May our relationship grow stronger day by day. Open my eyes to understanding You as I read Your Word and apply it to my life.
