I Am Not Ashamed of this Good News

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes--the Jew first and also the Gentile. Romans 1:16

Memory Verse of the Week: For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Sheep in Israel
I am not ashamed. Let me tell you about this Good  News. Jesus is my Savior. He came from heaven to earth to be the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. He died on a cross—as that sacrificial lamb. It was a Jewish custom for lambs and other animals to be sacrificed for the people’s sin. Jesus gave His life for the sins of all men and women, Jews and Gentiles. The world—all people throughout history. Jesus was obedient to His Father in becoming that sacrifice. It was God’s plan for mankind to be forgiven for the sin that came into the world when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. No one with sin in their life can be in God’s presence…so God initiated this plan to purify mankind…and Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice.
He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name." Acts 10:43
That is it…the Good News. Jesus is the Savior…He takes away the sin of the world—yours and mine. As believers in Jesus Christ we can now stand holy and blameless before God the Father.  Do you believe?

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, I am in awe of You--as Creator, as Servant, as Friend, as Sacrifice, as my Lord and God. I am not ashamed to tell the world that You are my Savior—You are the Good News.
