Memory Scripture of the Week – Psalm 23
The
LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
He
lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He
renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Even
when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close
beside me.
Your
rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the
presence of my enemies.
You
honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely
your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I
will live in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6
He
renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Have you ever
been so tired that your strength just seems zapped? You can’t choose the right
path…you just can’t choose anything. Tired and tried. But what is this? You
pray to Your Lord and Savior…and He gives you the strength you need. Renewed power
so you feel like you could run a full marathon—and he shows you the way to go…the
right path. An answer to prayer? Yes. Prayer is powerful. Walk in His ways and you
will not faint…you won’t be weak—you’ll get new strength and stamina. Keep
going. In your strength you will bring honor to the Lord…to His very name.
People will see that you honor Him…and they will honor Him as they walk along
the same path that you are going…His path…His way. Jesus is the Way, the Truth,
and the Life (John 14:6). I feel energized. How about you?
Prayer ~ Lord God, Give us renewed strength
and guide us along the right path—Your way. Please endow us with wisdom and
insight from You to gain spiritual insight so our relationship with You will grow
as we gain understanding of the Kingdom of Heaven.
