That is What Happened.

And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. Genesis 1:7

Memory Scripture of the Week
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Genesis 1:3-4 Then God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:5 God called the light "day" and the darkness "night." And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.
Genesis 1:6 Then God said, "Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth."
Genesis 1:7 And that is what happened. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens.
Genesis 1:8 God called the space "sky." And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.

That is what happened. God spoke…He made…this space to separate the waters. Poof. Were there lightning bolts as the air rushed about creating the space? God is so powerful…and yet so gentle that He created delicate flowers, wispy clouds and precious little babies in all sorts of animals. I don’t imagine that there was anything delicate about the space He created to separate the waters. Water is heavy and God just pushed it out of the way to create the “space” He needed for other things. Space. Space is such a rare commodity. Everyone wants and needs space and God just created what He wanted…where He needed it to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. There it is…waters of Heavens and waters of Earth. Splish. Splash. Like darkness and light. God created and separated things we often take for granted. What things in your life do you separate from others?

Prayer ~ Lord God. You are all powerful and majestic. Awesome. I can only imagine the power of the space being created. Create in me a space that only You can fill…with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. May Your creation continue to amaze people around the world and draw them closer to You…to Your truth, Your way and the life that You give…abundantly.
