Learn to Know God’s Will for You

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2

Memory Scripture of the Week:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us today the food we need,
and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
Matthew 6:9-13 [Focus on a phrase each day.]

May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
What is God’s Will? Someone asked me that years ago…and I still associate that question with that dear friend. What do you say when someone asks you that question? What is God’s Will?

There are several verses that give us clues to what God’s will is.
·             For God's will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. Hebrews 10:10
·             God's will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. 1 Thessalonians 4:3
·         It is God's will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you. 1 Peter 2:15
·             Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36
·             Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.     1 Thessalonians 5:18

So…be holy, live honorable lives, endure and give thanks. That seems simple enough…but just striving to live a holy life is challenging. I cling to the verse…
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
God’s will…on earth as it is in heaven. What does that mean? God wants His people to be pure and holy. Only those who are faultless will be able to stand before His throne in Heaven.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 1 Peter 1:3-6
One day…God willing…you will stand before His throne in Heaven—pure and faultless because Jesus has taken away your sin.

Wash me white as snow.
Prayer ~ Lord, help me to see You working in my life and transforming my mind. You are worthy of praise and I long to please You in all I think, say, and do. My hope is in You Jesus for I want to stand pure and faultless before Your throne where You are seated at the right hand of God the Father. Thank You for taking away my sin...for washing me white as snow…for transforming my mind and my life.
