Prayer – Lord, please open my eyes, ears, and heart to understanding Your words in the Bible. Help me to see ways to apply it to my life…and keep me walking along the straight and narrow path that leads to You. Fill me with Your insights, wisdom and understanding—giving me increased hope and joy in my life that I can share with others.
For we were not making up clever stories when we told
you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic
splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the
Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, "This is my
dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy." We ourselves heard that voice
from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain. Because of that
experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets.
You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a
lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star
shines in your hearts. Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in
Scripture ever came from the prophet's own understanding, or from human
initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke
from God. 2 Peter 1:16-21
Meditate. Intentionally ask the Lord to speak to you
through His word today.
The Empty Tomb Jerusalem, Israel Peter saw Jesus...before His Death...and after His Resurrection. Do you see Jesus working in your life? |
Jesus brought joy to His Heavenly Father. What a proud Papa
He was and is! Do you feel that our Heavenly Father is proud of you? I was going to ask…How can
you make Him proud of you? There is nothing we can do except believe in Jesus
as our Savior. That choice will cause the heavens to rejoice and our Heavenly
Father to be delighted…enough to make each of us a part of His family. Then, as
Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica, we can share in the glory of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Verse of Salvation ~ He called you to salvation when we
told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus
Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:14
Memory Verse of the Week ~ So whether you eat or
drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1
