This Psalm,
likely written by David, parallels Genesis 1 and gives God the praise for the
nature He created. God sent His Spirit—the Holy Spirit—out across the earth to
create all of nature—plants and animals. What a glorious creation we have!
Creation continues to be glorious. It won’t be long until we’ll have trees and
flowers blooming! Spring is such a magnificent time of the year—reflecting the
very power and grace of God. Winter—although we have storms now—will be over
and spring will burst forth—showing that God still cares about us in all the
diversity of the plants He created that so magnificently show off their
impressive variations in the spring. Ahhh. Just looking forward to spring can
give us joy amidst the weather reports of inches of snow falling across our
nation now! Rejoice and be glad. The Spirit is still moving across the
earth—renewing and refreshing…plants, animals and us!
Prayer ~ Holy Spirit—revive, refresh and renew us with
Your power and grace.
