Prayer – Lord, I’m singing for joy about You—because You are worthy of praise! Continue to show me ways that You are working in my life.
The trees of the forest rustle with praise... for the Lord is coming! Forest of trees near Mt. St. Helens. Washington State |
Meditate. Sing!
Joy! Singing! Praise! The Psalmist is telling us that every
day we should proclaim the good news that Jesus saves and the wonderfully
amazing things God has done for you. Are you noticing what the Lord has done
for you lately…or has it only been the dramatic things that He did five or ten
years ago that you share with others? Have you told others today, this week, or
even this month, what God has done for you? Personally, God has given me peace—and
taken away my anxieties over the last couple of years, as well as the last few
months, weeks, and days. That’s been a very big deal, especially during the
COVID pandemic. Jesus said for us to cast all our cares upon Him. That is just what
I’ve done…and sure enough, Jesus took on my cares and anxieties. Try it for
yourself next time you are experiencing anxieties or just plain worries. God is
merciful and will hear your prayers. Look for Him working in your life.
Have you read the Memory Verse of the Week? Ask, using
my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. John 16:24b.
There you go. If you don’t see God working in your life…ask Him to show you what
He is doing…and you can not only count on Him to do just that…but He will give
you joy—and lots of it. Who doesn’t need lots of joy in their life? Paul writes
about people—even those in need—having abundant joy in their lives.
Now I want you to
know, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his kindness has done through the
churches in Macedonia. They are being tested by many troubles, and they are
very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in
rich generosity. 2 Corinthians 8:1-2
Then with abundant joy, sing a new song to the Lord!
Verse of Salvation ~ For Jesus is the one referred to in
the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now
become the cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! God has given no
other name under heaven by which we must be saved." Acts 4:11-12

you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. John 16:24b
