What is Jesus Teaching and What are You Learning?

Meditate. What do you learn from Jesus?
Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?" John 11:25-26

What do you learn from Jesus? Oh my. He taught us so much that it can’t be covered in just one day. When He was asked which is the greatest commandment He answered…
"'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' ... A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37, 39-40
I love the way that all the Ten Commandments are rolled into those two. Exodus 20:3-11 covers our relationship with God, putting Him first and honoring Him respectfully in our lives. Exodus 20:12-17 focus on our relationship with other people, beginning with our parents and ending with our neighbors. The Ten Commandments are all about love. Love means following His commandments.
I can’t tell you how happy I am to learn that many members of your congregation are diligent in living out the Truth, exactly as commanded by the Father. But permit me a reminder, friends, and this is not a new commandment but simply a repetition of our original and basic charter: that we love each other. Love means following his commandments, and his unifying commandment is that you conduct your lives in love. This is the first thing you heard, and nothing has changed. 2 John 1:4-6 The MSG

Even in social distancing...love others.
New York City -- From the Empire State Building.
God so loved the world...can you?
It is above all important to Jesus to Love. Love God and Love Others. Follow His commandments.

How do you show your love? Do you share the knowledge of God with others? That is the ultimate form of love. Love Jesus by telling others about Him. Jesus is more than just a baby in the manger—the Son of God, the Creator, a teacher, a Rabbi, a prophet, a healer, our Savior, a bridegroom preparing a new home for us. He is my Savior—The Messiah. Is Jesus your Savior…your Messiah? Can you believe?
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Believe while there is still time. Things change quickly. Are you ready? Can you share this good news with someone else today? You can do it. You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. (Philippians 4:13)

Prayer ~ Lord God, You loved the world so much that You gave Your one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16. I believe. To You be the glory forever.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
