Merry Christmas! All of God’s plans focus on this day…the Day
of Jesus’ birth. Jesus fulfilled over 350 Biblical prophesies—100 of them were
just about His birth. So what difference does it make? That is an amazing
number. No one else can claim that. No other rulers or anyone alive or dead has
a record like that of Jesus. God arranged for all those prophesies to be written
in the Bible—so that people would believe. God is powerful and awesome—yet loving.
His plans and prophesies give us hope. Hope for future. A future in a bright
and shining place where there will be no more tears or disappointments. It is
prophesied—and we can count on God to see that that His prophesies are fulfilled—just
like those foretelling of Jesus. Do you believe that God keeps His promises? Do
you believe in Jesus as the Messiah? That is what Christmas is all about. God
kept His promise to give the world a Savior—a Messiah. Jesus Christ.
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit, Thank you for revealing God’s truth, His prophesies and His plan
for us and for the world. May someone reading this find new hope in God’s love
and grace in their lives today.
Friday’s
Feast at the King’s Table
In honor of
my friend, Belinda Niemi, who went to be with the Lord on December 16th.
She worked
with my husband, Jerry, became a dear friend, and gave us this
recipe years ago. She brought our family this favorite dish the day that Jerry’s
Dad died and I can still picture her coming up our sidewalk with a big pan full
of these enchiladas. True comfort food. She also taught us to make home-made
salsa that is equal parts green, red and white ingredients. Thanks, Belinda—for
the memories, time cooking together and friendship in the Lord. You blessed a
lot of people.
