How often have you asked yourself or a
friend…“What is God’s will for my life?” Several people have asked me that over
the years…and I always try to encourage them. As long as we are saved and
living as God wants us to…according to the “love your neighbor as yourself”
principle…and following the Ten Commandments, then we should be pleasing to God—and
that is what He wants. That is His will. It is difficult from scripture to tell
specific things like what college, career, spouse, home location one should
choose. Sins forgiven. The Holy Spirit
now guides us—and we can look forward to boldly
entering heaven—and seeing Jesus face to face, because of His sacrifice for us.
But that still may not help with the assurance of knowing just how God wants
you to live…what He desires for your life. We need to make choices that are
good—that is a given. Sometimes it may help to just make a decision and stay
with it—not to be wishy washy. But let
your statement be, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil. Matthew
5:37. Look forward to Heaven…but live now—because Heaven begins in your heart
when you choose to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior—your Messiah.
Prayer

Lord.
