During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught His followers to pray to our Heavenly Father. Pray to Him this prayer today…and always. Meditate on those words.
Our
Father…. Most people who have memorized the Lord’s Prayer know the King
James Version in their head and in their heart.
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be
thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine
is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13

Jesus was teaching His disciples and followers how to pray…how to begin a conversation with the Heavenly Father. He was sharing God the Father with them. Our. Not MY. He is the God of each of us…whether we choose to acknowledge or even claim Him as our God…our Father. Personally, I do claim God the Father as my God…my Heavenly Father. I humbly look forward to one day standing before His throne in Heaven, bowing down before Him and thanking Him…and Jesus Christ my Savior, for their mercy.
