Jesus Felt Admiration

Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began! "O righteous Father, the world doesn't know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them." John 17:24-26

Jesus respected His Heavenly Father very deeply—continually honoring Him. Admiration at the highest level. Who do you respect? Who do you deeply admire? Why?

God the Father is deserving of our admiration and respect. I personally hold Him in highest esteem because He is worthy…after all He IS our creator, sustainer, pure righteousness, the omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient—the Almighty God who has all power, is eternally in all things, and has all knowledge. He is above all…and yet He knows each of us by name—and cares about us—loves us. I feel so special to know that I am loved by the God of the universe—that I am a child of the King—His child. Adopted into His family.
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father." Romans 8:15
How can I not admire and respect such an awesome God—our Abba, Father? Do you?

Prayer ~ Lord God—I humbly bow my head and my spirit to You—for You are an awesome God, worthy of all my admiration and respect.
