When
Jesus heard this, he told them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor—sick people
do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who
know they are sinners." Mark 2:17.
Jesus was a
compassionate person. He came to minister to the sick—those who were physically
or spiritually ill. He genuinely felt that human emotion that we feel of empathetic
pain—of sympathy and understanding.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them
because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9:36

Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the
boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. Matthew 14:14

When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with
compassion. "Don't cry!" he said. Luke 7:13

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched
him. "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!" Mark 1:41
His heart was
overflowing with compassion as He reached out to minister to those sick and
grieving.

What an awesome God we have in Jesus—all our sins and griefs to bear.
We can still look to Jesus for comfort, strength, healing and hope. He is the
same today as He was 2,000 years ago. We can still trust Him and depend on Him
to be compassionate. He has promised to care for us.
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who
are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will
find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give
you is light." Matthew
11:28-30
Will you
trust Him?
Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God. I give
You my worries, cares and concerns—knowing that You care about each little concern
as much as the overwhelming problems. Thank You for Your caring compassion.
Please help Marie…as she deals with health issues for many family members and
herself. Compassionately shower her with Your love, grace and peace…along with
healing touches for all to whom she ministers.
