Pure Heart?

From The Sermon on the Mount...
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8 (NASB)

Will you see God--as this light shining down from heaven?

Pure heart. Purity is such an admirable quality. Have you noticed that when a person has a "pure heart" that their whole life is "clean" -- no offensive attitude, no worldly ways, and no sin. Is that possible? At least a few people I know are in that class with a pure heart. They never say caddie things about other, gossip or put others down. The heart is known to be the center of the human spirit--from which our emotions, thoughts, motives, attitudes, and actions originate.
     - Many are saying, "Who will show us any good?" Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD! You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound. Psalm 4:6-7 (NASB)

Who will show us good things? Of course, the Lord has and He will continue to do so.
     -  The earth is the LORD'S, and  all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the rivers. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:1-5 (NASB)

Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart! Psalm 73:1 (NASB)
Keep your heart pure by making "pure" choices--but even that is only done with the help of the Lord.
Claim that promise of a pure heart--and you will see God.

Prayer ~ Lord God, Thank You for Your promises...purify my heart, my soul and my mind--that all I think, say and do is pleasing to You--bringing You glory and honor.
