This passage in Acts tells us about when Peter
went to Caesarea and spoke with Cornelius, a Roman centurion, about Jesus,
reminding him about how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit. God, in the
form of the Holy Spirit, went with Jesus as He went about His ministry. Jesus
always said…"I told you…the works
that I do in My Father's name, these testify of Me." John 10:25. Jesus was obedient. The things He did—the healing
and miracles—were all done as requested by the Father—with the power of the Holy
Spirit. God has promised to always be with those who love and obey Him. He also
gives the Holy Spirit to those who believe in Jesus. …and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured
out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans
5:5. The power of the Holy Spirit is unending—lasting through all of time. It
was available to Jesus…and is available to us. Are you seeking His power?
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit fill us with Your power and use us to do good and heal others
just like Jesus did.
