What will Heaven be like? We are assured that it will be a place without tears…that will make it the Happy Place. To go there do we need to wish on a star?

In one place here on earth that is known as the Happy Place has a theme song…
“When you wish upon a star/Makes no difference who you are/Anything your heart desires/Will come to you.” Copyright by Bourne Co. This famous tune was written in 1940 by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington for the Disney animated film Pinocchio. Growing up I remember wishing on the first star that we’d see. Wishing for fame, beauty…or just to get 100% on my next spelling test. Those wishes didn’t come true. Then I discovered the truth of a relationship with Jesus…with the God who made the heavens…including those twinkling stars. He has a plan for a home in Heaven for those who believe in Him.
God promised long ago to give us the desires of our hearts as we trust and find joy in the Lord. Believe in the Lord and praise Him, like the stars in the sky.
Trust in the LORD and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the LORD. Psalm 37:3-5
Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD from the heavens!
Praise him from the skies!
Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all the armies of heaven!
Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
Praise him, skies above! Psalm 148:1-4
Choose—wishing on a star…or believing in God to take you to His Happy Place.
