Happy Birthday Zander!

Prayer – Lord, this is a big day for Zander—turning eighteen. You’ve had Your hand on him all though his life—so please continue to bless him, guide him along Your path of right living—righteous—and most of all…help him to make good decisions. We all need to make right choices…day by day…moment by moment.

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God. Philippians 1:9-11

Meditate. Consider God’s guidance in scripture. Read God’s word and listen to what He is saying.

This is the day that the Lord has made—let us be glad and rejoice in it.  That’s good for everyday. But life is not filled with rejoicing—except by our choice. Life is tough—pain, disappointments, unmet expectations—need I go on? Life is what we make it—fill it with the hope that God gives us. Choose to follow Christ moment by moment…day by day.

Verse of Salvation ~ But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “The LORD is great!” Psalm 40:16 (NLT)
