How Many Graduates Does It Take to…Change a Light Bulb? Aha!

Prayer – Lord, time has come to work together. Actually, all the time is time to work together, putting our faith into practice

But that does not mean we want to dominate you by telling you how to put your faith into practice. We want to work together with you so you will be full of joy, for it is by your own faith that you stand firm. 2 Corinthians 1:24

Meditate. Consider God’s guidance in scripture. Read God’s word and listen to what He is saying.

How many…graduates does it take to change a lightbulb?

Working together—teamwork—it shouldn’t take too many! In their twelve plus years of school I’m sure the High School graduates today have had many “light bulb” aha moments. Now it is time to move on…and they’ll seek new opportunities and new “light bulb” moments will occur. No matter what they do, the best choice is to stand firm in their faith. Good choice for graduates or anyone. Stand firm. In order for someone to do that they need to have made a decision in faith—to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Then stand firm—don’t waiver.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. BBut when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:2-6 (NLT)

Being tossed about is no fun. Flopping around like an old wet rag doll. Have confidence in your relationship with the Lord.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.  Hebrews 11:1

Watch for the aha “light bulb” moments in your life and choose to follow Jesus. He is the light of the world.

Verse of Salvation ~ All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.  1 Peter 1:3-7

Friday’s Feast at the King’s TabOr

Food for graduates. What is best or their favorite meal?

How about “all you can eat sushi” at a real Japanese restaurant? This is not something we’d whip up at home. There is a wonderful place, King Sushi, in West Ashley, South Carolina, that my graduating grandson loves! They have non-sushi meals like shrimp or veggie hibachi for us non-sushi epicurean folks. Enjoy!
