Exercise lately?

Prayer – Lord, I understand the importance of taking care of our bodies. Help me to put that into action.

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual
immorality is a sin against your own body.
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple
of the Holy Spirit,
who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong
to yourself, for God  has bought you with a high price. So you must honor God
with your body
1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Meditate. Consider that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Exercise lately? Exercising our mind, body, and spirit daily should be a goal for everyone. Personally, I find it easier to exercise my mind and spirit than I do my body! Since I’m a fair weather walker I rely on moderate temperatures, a gentle breeze, and no rain. This has gotten to be a bad habit that keeps me from getting my steps in for the day unless the weather is acceptable.

Run—even on your hands and feet—
doing cartwheels like Zander.
Folly Beach, South Carolina

This scripture passage starts out very explicitly—Run…not walk or saunter—get away quickly. If we’ve been exercising then we can probably get out of harms way pretty fast. If not, then think fast and stand your ground physically and spiritually. You are a temple…a home and sacred ground for God Himself within you. What an honor to not only be “adopted” into God’s family but to know that the Holy Spirit lives within you. Paul’s advice is to honor God with your body. How do you do that? Obedience to God’s word is always the key. Know His word and obey it. Blessings on you as you choose how to honor God with your life and keep your body pure and healthy physically and spiritually.

Verse of Salvation ~ For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2 Corinthians 7:10
