Will Everybody…Good and Evil…Go to Heaven?

Prayer – Lord, please give us wisdom and understanding to know just what it means to be chosen to go to Heaven—and to live and serve You eternally. You provide the way to heaven, because You are the one who gives life—eternal life. Thank you for revealing that truth to us.

Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. These were his instructions to them: "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. ... And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead." Then he said to the disciples, "Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me." When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, "Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!" "Yes," he told them, "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven." Luke 10:1-2, 15-20

Meditate. Consider what is good and evil in God’s eyes.

What is good and evil before God Almighty?

Jesus plainly stated that the only way to the Father…in Heaven…is by knowing Jesus himself. That means not just knowing about Jesus…but having a close personal relationship with Him. Good people won’t find that difficult to do…unless they feel that their “goodness” is going to get them into heaven…and it won’t. Will evil people get into heaven? Not likely unless they repent of their sins and accept the gift of salvation that Jesus offers them. After they’ve repented, they won’t be “evil” anymore! Their names will be “registered in heaven” in God’s Book of Life. The Book of Life is a powerful record of those who believe in Jesus.

Victorious.
Clothed in white.
Name in the Book of Life.
Is yours there?

All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.
Revelation 3:5

And all the people who belong to this world (earth dwellers or hybrids) worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life before the world was made--the Book that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered. Revelation 13:8

And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Revelation 21:27

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side--leaders whose decrees permit injustice? They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the LORD is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide. God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The LORD our God will destroy them. Psalm 94:19-23

And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. John 17:3 (Jesus’ prayer to our Heavenly Father—shortly before He was crucified.)

It is obvious that only the true believers will spend their eternal life in Heaven. Only repentance good, not the evil, people. God will destroy the evil ones because of their sins. Everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God, but we can repent. Do you want to continue to sin, knowing that God will destroy the evil people? The choice is ours each day. Live—striving for a relationship with God that pleases Him. That relationship with God the Father and Jesus is the one that will guarantee a home in Heaven.

Verse of Salvation ~ For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:11-12
