Prayer – Lord, my prayer is as Paul wrote to the church at Corinth… Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. 2 Corinthians 7:1
You have had enough in the past of the evil things
that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and
drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. Of course,
your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of
wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that
they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the
dead. ... The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and
disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love
for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home
with those who need a meal or a place to stay. 1 Peter 4:3-5, 7-9
Meditate on the changes in your life as
a Christian.

Verses of Salvation ~ Now I am glad I sent it (a
letter from Paul causing pain), not because it hurt you, but because the
pain caused you to repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God
wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way. For the kind
of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in
salvation. There's no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which
lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10
