What Does God’s Unfailing Love Look Like?

Prayer ~ Lord, we are anxiously awaiting Your return…and for You to call us Home to Heaven…where we will always be with You. For now, we will follow You…basking in Your goodness and unfailing love. Amazing Love. Overwhelming love that binds us together…us with You, You with us, and all of us together.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6

Meditate. What is unfailing love?

Living forever in God’s House—that is what I look forward to, just like David did as he wrote this famous Psalm. God pursues us with His love—a love so great and so divine we can cannot totally comprehend it. It is that love of God, and our responsive love to Him, that will allow us to one day live in His house…forever. God loved us first. Search for that. Responding to His love…accepting the sacrificial love of Jesus and what He did for us by dying on the cross for our sins allows us to become God’s adopted children. Of course, someday He will gather all His beloved children to His home where we will live with Him forever. Great plan.

Don’t you love it when your family is all gathered together…celebrating life, eating favorite foods, going places, and just hanging out together? I do. I love having family and close friends all collectively around our table…or sprawling about the room watching a movie or playing games together. Togetherness. That is what relationships are all about…and as our relationships include an association with God as well as with each other…life is good. It is that goodness and unfailing love of God pursuing each of us that binds us together even tighter. Forgiveness. Understanding. Compassion. Helpfulness. Concern. That is just what God’s unfailing love looks like. Loving Him and loving others.

Who do you serve...God or Money?

Verses of Salvation ~ When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. "Zacchaeus!" he said. "Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today." Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy. But the people were displeased. "He has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner," they grumbled. Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, "I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!" Jesus responded, "Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost." Luke 19:5-10
