Good and Perfect

Prayer ~ God, You created us just like Jesus…good and perfect. Help us to attain to that level. Continue to show us just how You want us to live in a good and perfect condition.

So don't be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. James 1:16-18

Meditate.

Can we truly be good and perfect? God created us…in Jesus Christ…to be just that good and perfect so that we could be His prized possessions. Once again, feel how it feels to be loved by God—to be His prized possession. Although we may feel unworthy, we are forgiven, if we ask for that, and we become adopted by God into His very family. Loved. All those who believe in Him are loved and love others.

And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. Those who obey God's commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. - 1 John 3:23-24

Life is about love. Loving God and loving others. One of the groups of people we ought to love…and for whom we should continually pray is the Jewish community, especially the Jews in Jerusalem.

Peace within their hearts.

Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper. O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls and prosperity in your palaces. For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, "May you have peace." For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6-9

Do you pray for them? They are wonderfully made…just like you. Good and perfect.

Verses of Salvation ~ Though the LORD is very great and lives in heaven, he will make Jerusalem his home of justice and righteousness. In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD will be your treasure. Isaiah 33:5-6

Memory Verse of the Week - Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. Psalm 139:14
