What is the Best Gift You’ve Been Given?

Prayer ~ Lord God, thank you for the greatest gift that You have ever given mankind…Jesus. I understand that it is only by Your grace that I can and have been saved—nothing I can do on my own—no good works—will give me eternal life. I can’t take credit for anything—it is Your grace and mercy that saved me. Thank you—for Your great plan of salvation.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

Meditate. Feel God’s presence, His grace, and His mercy.

What is the best gift...
you've been given?
What is the best gift you’ve ever been given? Maybe you think it was the bike you got for your birthday when you were seven? Or was it the diamond bracelet for Christmas when you’d always gotten cleaning tools the years before? The best gift I ever received was Jesus as my Savior. I just didn’t immediately understand the depth of that gift—but this verse explains it so well. Here is another verse that confirms this gift from God that we are privileged to receive.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:17-19

Believe. Make the most of this best gift that you’ve been given by sharing this good news about salvation with others.

Verses of Salvation ~ "Listen to me, you who know right from wrong, you who cherish my law in your hearts. Do not be afraid of people's scorn, nor fear their insults. For the moth will devour them as it devours clothing. The worm will eat at them as it eats wool. But my righteousness will last forever. My salvation will continue from generation to generation." Isaiah 51:7-8

Memory Verse of the Week ~ God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9
