Think. Do What is Right

Prayer First ~ Lord, open my eyes to see what is happening in the world today…and yet help me keep my focus on You and give me a discerning heart. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Light. The Light of the World. Shine Jesus shine!

My child, don't lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. Proverbs 3:21-26

Meditate. Consider what is happening in the world today—sudden disaster or destruction is possible—are you safe and secure?

Sudden destruction happens in a minefield.
Watch your step.
Don't be deceived.
Israel - near Mt. Hermon
Solomon wrote in these verses of Proverbs that we need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. The Lord is showing His love by promising that He will keep us safe. We can go to bed without fear…lie down and sleep soundly. That is security. God is watching over us. He wants us to be like His Son, Jesus, and have no fear—but to use our minds for good, not evil.

Dear children, don't let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life is in them. So they can't keep on sinning, because they are children of God. 1 John 3:7-9

Don’t be deceived. Use your common sense and consider the Truth. Follow the Way—the way of the Lord. You should not just read your Bible—but really study and digest it—memorizing it so that it is part of you. Of course, I am preaching to myself here—that is what I so often do…give myself advice and direction. To me, that is common sense. Think. Do what is true, right, and just.

Verse of Salvation ~ So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? Hebrews 2:3
