Prayer ~ Lord God, thank you for revealing Your secret message about Christ living in us and that we will share in His glory. Please give me wisdom as I attempt to share this Good News with others in this blog and in my neighborhood. I’m depending on Christ’s mighty power working in me…I can’t do this alone!
God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God's people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That's why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ's mighty power that works within me. Colossians 1:25-29
Meditate. Your relationship with others impacts their relationship
with God.
Do you really know someone else’s relationship with the Lord unless you really know them…unless you have a relationship with that person, too? Recently an older gentleman that I knew growing up died. His obituary said he died peacefully—but it didn’t mention any church affiliation or devotion to the Lord. When I told a friend about his death, she asked if he was a Christian. I didn’t know. I was sorry to realize that although I had a deep respect for him, I didn’t really know him. Had I kept in touch with him and his family I would have known where he stood with the Lord…or been able to share my Lord, Jesus Christ with him.
Does anyone really know... what time it is? Without the Son--without sunshine-- time doesn't matter. When is your time up? God has plans for you! |
Verse of Salvation ~ As for us, we can't help but thank God for
you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that
God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation--a salvation that
came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the
truth. He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can
share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
Memory Verse of the Week ~ “For I know the plans I have for
you,” says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to
give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Test yourself or recite this verse to someone. Did you memorize
it? Does it mean anything different to you than it did at the beginning of the
week?
