Understand What the Lord Wants You to Do

Prayer ~ Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Psalm 51:10. For all who are reading this…I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:15-20

Meditate. Listen to the Lord.

Understand what the Lord wants you to do. How do you know…you might ask? Everyone—even non-believers—has within them a conviction of right and wrong. Some people just don’t listen.

Read your Bible. Pray…develop your relationship with the Lord so that you understand what pleases Him. By believing in Jesus as your Savior…and being filled with the Spirit, a person is given the opportunity for a deeper understanding of what the Lord expects. Listen to the Lord.

Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Walk...or dance humbly...with the Lord.
On the streets of Jerusalem.
Israel
…the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

We just need to listen. Listen to the Lord. Understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Verse of Salvation ~ So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. 1 Peter 1:13
