Start with Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, I don’t know what my future will be like serving You—but I am humbly willing to just that…serve You. I trust that You will prepare and equip me for whatever You need me to do. I praise You, Lord, for all that You’ve done for me—especially for Your love.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful
love endures forever. Has the LORD redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he
has redeemed you from your enemies. For he has gathered the exiles from many
lands, from east and west, from north and south. Some wandered in the
wilderness, lost and homeless. Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died.
"LORD, help!" they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from
their distress. He led them straight to safety, to a city where they could
live. Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful
things he has done for them. Psalm 107:1-8 (Underlined for
emphasis.)
Meditate. What has the Lord done for you…today…this
week…this month…this year? What have you done for the Lord?
The Promised Land
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful
love endures forever. Praise the Lord…and give thanks. He is forever
faithful…to keep His promises to Jews and Gentiles alike. Just as prophesied
the Jews regathered into the Promised Land. The regathering began even before
was declared to be the nation of Israel in 1948. Hungry and thirsty, they have
taken care of each other—no matter what corner of the world they are from. The
Lord has helped them—providing resources of food, clothing, shelter, and jobs. That
is a good thing to tell others. God has done wonderful things.
Speak up. Jesus told
His disciples and all His followers, including us, to tell others about Him.
Jesus came and told
his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to
obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you
always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
Speak up. People can see Jesus in your life—but even if it
is outside your comfort zone…like it is mine…we need to use our voices to go
and make disciples of all the nations. Then you’ll need to teach these
new disciples to obey all the commands. Knowing that Jesus is with us
should encourage us…to use our voices. Speak up. And then praise the Lord for
His great love…and the wonderful things He has done for you...for all of us.
Verse of Salvation ~ May you always be filled with the
fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus
Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God. Philippians 1:11
Memory Verse of the Week ~ Let them praise the LORD
for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. Psalm
107:8
