He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which
we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of
regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly
through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would
be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7
Since
you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him,
throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is
corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts
and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous
and holy. Ephesians 4:21-24 NLT. Once again…we make our own choices. We can
let the Holy Spirit renew us—our thoughts and attitudes. Attitudes are a big
thing. Chuck Swindoll wrote in an essay an “Attitude” that included… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens
to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge
of our Attitudes. We are “in charge of our Attitudes.” God allows us
choices in our attitudes. The Holy Spirit will renew our attitude, if we choose
to let Him. How’s your attitude today? Personally, I know I could stand to
renew my attitude.
Prayer
~ Holy Spirit, renew my thoughts and attitudes that I would live to truly please
the Lord.
Change
me so that my attitude changes from within my heart, soul and mind.
