Are You Really Living?

So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:12-14

Live on—forever. Choose to put down living in worldly ways—according to the desires of the flesh. The Spirit gives us life—eternal life—to be spent with the Father, as His children. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name…. John 1:12. Years ago I realized that out of all the people in the world…over all the years that people have existed—God chose me. I am a daughter of the King. I am continually blown away by that idea and feel so special that God chose me to be part of His family. As Jesus said…You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. John 15:16. May I bear the fruit—the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23 NLT. That fruit acknowledges and esteems the Heavenly Father God. Is your life giving evidence of this fruit?

Prayer ~ Holy Spirit, fill my life anew day by day, moment by moment with Your love—as well as joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. You are awesome and worthy of praise—and I am blessed to be chosen to be part of God’s Family. May others around me come into a relationship with God that they would be part of His family, too.
