Prayer – Lord, You’ve granted us another day…and another year. We are building bridges with You to learn more about You and to serve You with every breath we take. Thank you for the past year…and for this New Year. We praise You for You are worthy of praise.
Meditate. What bridge are you crossing today…and this year…to
grow closer to the Lord?
Happy New Year!
What are your goals for this year? Setting goals is
important.
“It must be borne in mind
that the tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy
lies in having no goals to reach.” —Benjamin
E. Mays
“Our goals can only
be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon
which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.” —Pablo Picasso
My goals include more writing…continue this blog for
another year, another children’s book and beginning of my Legacy—which is not
just the story of my life as told for my grandchildren, but the story of God
working in my life…drawing others to Himself. Other goals are doing a
watercolor painting each month and decluttering my home! I will continually
remember…For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians
4:13.
Did you set spiritual goals? See the December 28, 2022, Banquet
With The King blog post.

J. Peter said…
If you don't know where you are
going, you will probably end up somewhere else.
Spiritual
goals are as important as any other goals. They could be changing an attitude,
using your spiritual gifts for the Lord, leading a friend to the Lord, or
memorizing scripture. Pray about how you would reach your spiritual goals and serve
the Lord.
The
theme and focus of this daily devotional blog this year will be “BRIDGES”
emphasizing bridging relationships between you and God and with others. Directions
from the Lord in the Old and New Testaments teach us to love God and to love
others. Love can only happen when there are relationships. Can you build a
bridge or cross a bridge to build your relationship with God?Cable Bridge
