Bridge to Eternal Life

Prayer – Lord, teach me about God’s wonderful grace and how Your obedience will bring me, my family and friends and all mankind who believe in You, into a right relationship with God the Father.

Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God's wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:18-21 (Underlined for emphasis.)

Meditate on grace—unmerited favor.

One Adam spoiled life for everyone…and God’s plan has given mankind the opportunity for restoration, for a relationship with God set back into perfection. God intended for people to live with Him in that beautiful Garden of Eden—but temptation and then sin got in the way. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be a sacrifice for that sin Adam and Eve committed. Jesus was that one other person who obeyed that Paul wrote about in his letter to the Romans that we’re reading today. Paul continues to tell us that God’s grace in this situation will give us right standing…and result in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This eternal life is a result of God’s wonderful abundant grace. It is ours, if we believe in Jesus Christ as our savior.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

Rainbow bridge to heaven.
Just as a bridge gives us a safe crossing—a restored relationship with God provides security, hope, and peace into timeless existence.

Verse of Salvation ~ For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:9
