Be Strong and Finish the Job

Prayer – Lord, I am weak, but You are strong. Give me strength—physically and spiritually.

This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: Be strong and finish the task! Ever since the laying of the foundation of the Temple of the LORD of Heaven's Armies, you have heard what the prophets have been saying about completing the building. Zechariah 8:9

Meditate.

This bridge is finished.
Does it have a strong foundation?
Only God...and the egret know.

Do you have a strong foundation
in your relationship with God?

The foundation is first…after the planning. God has a plan for mankind and for each of us. That plan includes a foundation. God gives us the opportunity to learn from the stories—the history that is recorded in the Bible. He doesn’t expect us to just hear about Him and see the stars in the sky and believe—but that is entirely possible, too. He has sent hundreds and thousands of people before us to tell us about Himself, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Like the Temple, our foundation is just the beginning and God isn’t finished with us until He is finished. John the Baptist was a good example and Jesus considered him to be a great man. Let God work in your heart. No complaints. Just open your heart to building a bridge—a foundational relationship with the Lord. Jesus spoke to the crowds, His followers, about John the Baptist.

John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say, 'Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way before you.' I tell you, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of God is greater than he is!" When they heard this, all the people—even the tax collectors—agreed that God's way was right, for they had been baptized by John. But the Pharisees and experts in religious law rejected God's plan for them, for they had refused John's baptism. "To what can I compare the people of this generation?" Jesus asked. "How can I describe them? They are like children playing a game in the public square. They complain to their friends, 'We played wedding songs, and you didn't dance, so we played funeral songs, and you didn't weep.'  Luke 7:27-32  But wisdom is shown to be right by the lives of those who follow it." Luke 7:35

Seek God’s way to see if it is right for you. Jesus is the Way, The Truth, and The Life. Personally, I believe that God’s way is the right way to live—and to live eternally with Him. That is my hope and Jesus give me that hope, peace, strength and love to believe in Him for eternity. Lay your foundation with God in mind. Be strong and finish the job.

Verses of Salvation ~ We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5
