Prayer ~ Lord God, I love you and worship You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.
You must worship no other gods, for the LORD, whose
very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you. Exodus
34:14Dome of the Rock - Jerusalem, Israel
Who are you worshipping?
Where are you worshipping?
Meditate. What does it mean to be jealous?
Are you going to worship a jealous God? I always thought of
jealousy as a bad trait, but for God, it is actually a good trait. The desire
of His heart is so great…with His love for us and His longing for us to love
Him that makes it a positive characteristic. He is jealous for us…certainly not
of us. It is not a good trait for any of us…but God declares that His very own
name is Jealous.
The LORD is a
jealous God, filled with vengeance and rage. He takes revenge on all who oppose
him and continues to rage against his enemies! Nahum 1:2
We certainly don’t want to be on the wrong side of God. Are
you willing to worship a jealous God?
Verses of Salvation ~ Did God's people stumble and fall
beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation
available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and
claim it for themselves. Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people
of Israel turned down God's offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing
the world will share when they finally accept it. Romans 11:11-12
Memory Verse of the Week ~ But my God shall supply
all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. - Philippians
4:19 KJV
Friday’s Feast at the
King’s Table
Safety first…in life and
in the kitchen. We can’t live on bread alone, but be careful that your food is
cooked safely. The driving force of this topic was when I opened the microwave
yesterday…and found food spilled and not cleaned up. Not a safe situation.
Clean is safe.
Microwaves ovens work by
heating the water molecules in food. Those microwaves created to cook the food
can come zapping out if there is food on the door. So, clean up your microwave.
Websites I searched assure us that the microwave is generally safe, but we
should NOT stand in front of it when it is running. OK, then it should not be
located over my stove where I am also standing cooking food at the same time
that I’m zapping something in the microwave oven. Healthline.com reassures us
that this method of cooking is safe as long as the oven door closes securely;
the food is cooked or reheated in proper glass containers, not plastic; and
that the food is heated to 165 degrees Fahrenheit for two minutes. Food should
not be undercooked or overcooked. Undercooking can be a breeding ground for
food poisoning which can be deadly—and not a pleasant way to go. Additionally,
overcooking, especially in heating water can create a dangerous situation where
the water is actually explosive, causing serious burns. Be safe.
