Glory. Glory. Glory.

Prayer ~ Lord God, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14. May even my thoughts bring glory to You.

Then he said to the crowd, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed? If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels." Luke 9:23-26

Meditate. How do you glorify Jesus?

Glory. Glory. Glory.

After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. And this is the way to have eternal life--to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began." John 17:1-5

Jesus will return in His glory.
Every eye will see Him--around the world.
Even here at Scooteney Reservoir, WA.
Jesus will return in His glory. Will He receive you then…or will He be ashamed of you? Are you ashamed of our Lord now? Do you willingly, enthusiastically, and intentionally share Him with others? Jesus asked a crowd of people listening to Him if they were willing to take up their cross—to bear their burden with Him—giving up their own lives and their own selfish desires—to follow Him. Those who publicly not only admit that they are Christian—Christ-followers—but live in a way that serves others for Him and brings Him glory—are the ones that He will proudly present to the Father in Heaven. You may have heard the phrase “Well done good and faithful servant.” That comes from Jesus’ parables about the three servants (Matthew 25) and the ten servants (Luke 19) where Jesus taught about those who were reliable with what the Lord, their master, had entrusted to them.

"The master was full of praise. 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!' Matthew 25:21

In all that we do we need to consider if it would bring glory to the Lord. That is one way of putting Jesus first in our lives.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

Honor the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Bring them glory. Glory. Glory. Glory.
