By What Name Do You Believe in Jesus?

Prayer ~ Lord God, You are my Savior. I am confident that You hear my prayers—and You will answer. Thank You.

I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. 1 John 5:13-15

 

Meditate. Are you seeking to know Jesus? Are you pleasing God?

 

Jesus is the Lamb of God

Do you believe in the name of the Son of God? That would be Jesus Christ. My Lord and Savior. He is not only the Son of God. He is God. He is the Messiah. He is the Creator. He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the Bright Morning Star. He is the Advocate. He is the Almighty. He is the Author of Eternal Salvation. He is the Beloved Son. He is the Bread of God. He is the Bread of Life. He is the Good Shepherd. He is the Chief Cornerstone. He is the Bridegroom. He is the Desire of the Nations. He is Emmanuel. He is the Dayspring from on High. He is the Eternal King. He is the Faithful and True Witness. He is my Friend. He is the First Begotten. He is the Governor. He is the Holy Child. He is the High Priest. He is the Holy One. He is Israel. He is the Image of God. He is the Judge. He is the King of the Jews. He is the Lamb of God. He is Life. He is the Light of the World. He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. He is the Lord of Glory. He is Lord of our Righteousness. He is the Mediator. He is the Man of Sorrows. He is Mighty God. He is the Offspring of David. He is the Prince of Life. He is the Prophet. He is Rabbi. He is the Redeemer. He is the Resurrection and the Life. He is the Rock. He is the Root of David. He is the Root of Jesse. He is the Son of the Blessed. He is the Son of the Righteousness. He is the Teacher. He is True Bread. He is True Life. He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life. He is Wonderful. He is the Word. He is the great I AM. He is Jesus Christ.

 

Jesus is known by many different names—each describing His qualities and attributes as noted in Scripture. Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? By what name do you believe in Jesus?

 

Verses of Salvation ~ Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son. All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don't believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don't believe what God has testified about his Son. And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God's Son does not have life.
