Got Faith?

Meditate.

Clearly, God's promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God's law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith. Romans 4:13

The privilege of knowing God…of having a relationship…a right relationship…with Him is an honor.

Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Romans 8:33

We can never be “obedient” enough   to the Law on totally on our own. We can only do it through God’s grace.

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God's wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:17-21

That right standing.  Righteousness. Approved by God.

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God's wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:21

That right relationship comes through faith. Faith. A conviction that God exists—He is real. Faith is that certainty, an assurance of something we can’t see but for which we hope.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1

Have faith. Keep the faith.

Prayer ~ Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. Jude 1:24-25

Verse of Salvation ~ Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people. Jude 1:3

Friday’s Feasting at the King’s Table

We can’t live on bread alone. Enjoy some refreshing watermelon during these hot days of summer.

Watermelon Mint Salad
6 cups cubed watermelon
3 Tbsp chopped peppermint
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 Tbsp olive oil

Place watermelon and peppermint into a bowl. Mix lemon juice and oil and pour over melon and mint. Toss and serve. For additional nutrition add ½ cup feta or goat cheese.

Think success, not failure
