Meditate. What and how do you give?
As the Light of the World shines into your heart... may you generously give of your time talents money and...love. |
When was the last time you loaned
money or anything to someone? Did you do it willingly or grudgingly? Consider
that everything really belongs to the Lord.
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will
get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly
or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives
cheerfully." And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will
always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As
the Scriptures say, "They share freely and give generously to the poor.
Their good deeds will be remembered forever." 2 Corinthians 9:6-9
Give generously—whether it is a gift or a loan. It belongs to God anyway…so just let go…and let God bless others. Build your relationship with God as you obediently serve Him.
Prayer ~ Lord, thank you for
this reminder that everything is Yours. Let me share generously with others. Most
importantly, give me boldness to share You, the Gospel of Good News, with others
that they will have eternal life and live in obedience to You.
Verses of Salvation ~ So never
be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don't be ashamed of me, either,
even though I'm in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to
suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. For God saved us and called us
to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because
that was his plan from before the beginning of time--to show us his grace
through Christ Jesus. And now he has made all of this plain to us by the
appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and
illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. 2
Timothy 1:8-10 (Underlined for emphasis.)
