Don’t Worry – Be Thankful

Meditate.

Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life--whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can't accomplish a little thing like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things? Luke 12:22-26

Don’t worry…be thankful. We usually hear…don’t worry, be happy. But I think it is more important to not worry…just be thankful. Are you continuing to keep your attitude of gratitude even after Thanksgiving? We can never be too thankful…grateful for all that we have and don’t worry about anything.

Don't Worry.
Jesus fed the 5,000 from a couple of fish & loaves.
Life is more than food.
He will take care of you.
Be Thankful

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

God has been so good to us—as individuals and as a nation. Our nation is in a bit of a mess right now…and some people are not particularly open or responsive to God. In the next couple of weeks it will be announced who is officially chosen to be President of the United States by the Electoral College, and thus the government. Even after that announcement our country will likely be divided…but still we can be thankful. Thankful that we are the land of the free and the home of the brave…that we have a great military protecting our country…that we are provided for and we take care of others. God has not forgotten His promise to the Gentiles who believe in Him. Don’t worry…God will ultimately take care of you. You can trust Him to keep His promises.

And this is God's plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God's children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:6

Have you had enough of the thanksgiving message yet? November isn’t quite over…so be prepared, there is still time for more thankfulness. It is an opportunity to show and share your grateful attitude. Don’t worry…just be thankful.

Prayer – Dear God, I don't want to worry about anything; instead, I am praying to You about everything, telling You what I need, and thanking You for all You have done. I am experiencing Your peace, God, which exceeds anything I can understand. Your peace will guard my heart and mind as I live in Christ Jesus. From Philippians 4:6-7. Thank You.

Verse of Salvation ~ We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. Colossians 1:11-14
