Be Thankful and Worship God

Meditate.

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. Hebrews 12:28

Be thankful and worship God. Look at where we’re going…and what we receive. The Kingdom. A place in God’s Kingdom. So the author of Hebrews is giving us God’s message. Be Thankful. Please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. That is pretty straightforward, but can you do it? Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Look to the Lord for His mercy.

We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal. Psalm 123:2

You may think it is impossible to please God…but it isn’t if you have faith.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6

And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God. Hebrews 13:16

And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What's more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. 1 Peter 2:5

Worship isn’t just a Sunday activity…or a Sabbath day pursuit. We can worship God every day. We have that choice to make. Worship can be a prayer time, praise time, or just a God focused time. Praise Him in song, dance, quiet time of listening to Him, or reading scripture aloud. It is as creative as you want to be. Give thanks with a grateful heart. Respectfully worship our awesome God

Think first…decide while there is still time. Is Jesus your Savior? Do you worship in in holy fear and awe?

Prayer ~ Lord Jesus, You are an awesome God. I respectfully worship You…today and always.

Verse of Salvation ~ Won't you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory. Psalm 85:6-9
