It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. Polluted unbelief! You let the world tell you how to live…really!? Where is your backbone? Stand up for yourself and your beliefs! Actually, we probably unconsciously or subconsciously live life the way the world dictates how to live…from what we eat, drink, read, work, and the schools our children attend. Pre-programmed by our society and government. Choices, choices. How in control are you of your life? What do you do to protect your life…your spiritual life? The Bible tells us…among other things that as a person thinks, in his heart, so he is. So guard your thought life. By doing that you’ll guard your spiritual life—and that is the most important aspect of life itself. These bodies will eventually die, but our soul and spirit will live on. Hopefully we will be picked…up and set…down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. We don’t have to just wish for that…we can have the assurance and hope that in knowing Jesus as our Savior we will ultimately be in heaven with our Messiah, Jesus. Is Jesus your Savior? Or are your lungs filled with unbelief?
Prayer ~ Lord God, along with You I wait patiently for Christ’s return. I long to hear that shofar horn sound and feel myself being lifted up in the Rapture. Whether I am with the dead who will rise first…or among the believers who are still alive…it doesn’t really matter. I just want to see Jesus.
I am concerned for the Jews who have not recognized Jesus as their Messiah. Please open their eyes and soften their hearts that they would repent and know Jesus as their Messiah. In Your Mercy and Grace, come quickly, Lord Jesus.
