Death from Unintentional Injuries and Accidents

Meditate on this Scripture passage:
My child, don't lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. Proverbs 3: 21-26

The third highest cause of death in the United States is unintentional injuries—that means accidents.

This Scripture in Proverbs tell us that He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. No traps, No injuries. God has promised that He will keep your foot, and assumedly your whole body safe. God doesn’t sleep. He is always watching…always alert and on duty watching.
He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalm 121:3 NASB

How does He keep our feet from slipping? His angels have orders to take care of us.
For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation." Psalm 91:11-16
The Devil used a portion of this Scripture when he attempted to tempt Jesus. (See Luke 4:10-11.) Jesus retaliated with the Scripture that says we must not test God. What does the Devil’s attack have to do with accidents? I’m sure there are lots of people out there who blame their accidents…their mishaps…on the Devil. The ole “Devil made me do it” routine. But accidents do happen. They are accidental. Unintentional. Chance. Disasters do happen. Things bump, smash, or crash. That is life. But with God all things are possible for recovery, for love and for salvation.
Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!" This amazed them. But Jesus said again, "Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!" The disciples were astounded. "Then who in the world can be saved?" they asked. Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God." Mark 10:23-27
Everything is possible with God. Even when there is an unintentional death—God still loves. God is love.

Prayer ~ Lord, I love you. Please continue to rescue me. You will protect those who trust in Your  name. When I call on You, You will answer. You will be with those who call on You in trouble. You will rescue and honor them. You will reward them with a long life and give them Your salvation. Psalm 91:14-16
