Salvation Begins With Grace

God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8

Not only is His grace sufficient for me—He provides that to me as a gift. A gift that costs me nothing—well I must humble myself, believe that Jesus IS the SON of God, and accept the gift. But it is a free gift—not one I can earn as some kind of reward. That gift cost God everything. Jesus gave up His life for me—God the Father gave up His only Son for me. That is a pretty big gift. His grace is the beginning of my salvation. It is humbling to think that someone…that God Himself loves me that much that He would sacrifice His Son for my stubborn sin.

Prayer ~ Dear God, my Grandmother taught me to always thank someone for a gift they’d given me. So…Thank You, Lord God…for Your Grace and the salvation of my very soul.
